No trip to Japan is complete without drinking a cup of Japanese green tea poured out from a beautiful ceramic kyusu teapot. Unlike most genmaicha, our blend is made from high quality ichibancha (tea from the first harvest of the year), roasted and puffed brown rice grains (genmai) and is coated lightly with matcha. An everyday tea which is healthful and delicious, you will love the nutty, roasted flavour of this traditional Japanese green tea.

I love being able to taste both genmaicha and matcha in this blend. It's a very robust yet calming tea, and is both a great pick-me-up & a tea to wind down with after a long day. Will always replenish this whenever my stash runs out.

Genmaicha is my favourite tea amongst all the other popular teas that Kindred carries because I'm a fan of green tea. Whats sets Kindred apart is its roasted nutty flavours from the puffed rice & the strong matcha taste from the tea leaves. Highly recommended! :)

Amazing flavors - perfect for sipping throughout the day

High quality tea with roasted nutty flavors from the puffed brown rice. For me, it was the perfect way to start my morning and then continue with fresh batches throughout the day.
